Dear friends,

While Joe Hurley was out on the west coast, his new CD-EP The House That Horse Built (Let the Great World Spin) was released on iTunes and received a terrific review in the NEW YORK POST yesterday. The CD, which is based on a chapter in Colum McCann's 2009 National Book Award Winning Novel "Let The Great World Spin", revolves around the life and death of a prostitute in 1974 NYC.

Purchase at iTunes: Joe Hurley - The House That Horse Built(Let the Great World Spin)

Here's the online version of the "CDs of the Week" New York Post review: Hurley's CD review can be found after Ringo Starr's.

For more info on the CD, the musicians (including Paddy Moloney of The CHIEFTAINS), please see the press releases at RoguesMarch.com and MySpace.com/roguesmarchmusic. Hurley & McCann, who co-wrote the lyrics, are working on a full-length CD for the novel, to be released this year.

Please feel free to post your own review on the iTunes page, and if so inclined, we would love your help spreading the word by sending the iTunes link to your friends.

The CD is also onsale at CDBaby.com/joehurley where a full description of the CD is listed. CDBaby is not currently able to post reviews from customers - "technical difficulties." This may be fixed by now...

You can also purchase the CD directly from RoguesMarch.com. Thank you all for your support of the new CD!

"Outstanding concert performances... Best of all was Joe Hurley's rumbling-bass baritone version of Send in the Clowns."
      NEW YORK TIMES October 2008

"One of the most electric, profound novels... in years. Let the Great World Spin is an emotional tour de force. It is a heartbreaking book, but not a depressing one. (It) can feel like a precursor to another novel of colliding cultures: “The Bonfire of the Vanities”.
